When Bill Clary (Jack Rutherford) robs a stagecoach, and plants some of the stolen money at the ranch of Luke Avery (Fred Gilman), Avery's sister beautiful sister Ruth (Sheila Bromley) ropes an instantly smitten Alton into being Avery's defense attorney.
